Welcome to the San Marino Unified School District's Curriculum and Instruction department. We plan, align, develop, implement, direct, and evaluate the District's curriculum and instruction programs. We provide leadership and supervision to support programs and department. We manage the instructional support functions for the District's schools. We provide information and recommendations to principals, staff and the public, as well as administrative and technical staff assistance. We address a wide variety of administrative processes within the context of the District's Local Control Accountability Plan (LCAP).
Our Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction (effective July 1, 2018) Mr. Kurtenbach supervises and evaluates the District curriculum/instructional support departments, College and Career Readiness, including Career Technical Education (CTE), Postsecondary initiatives, English Langauge Programs, Special Education, Student Discipline, Professional Development, and Visual and Performing Arts.
