    1.The District will create a strong financial plan which includes, but is not limited to:
        a.Ensuring a mechanism to cover current and future budget shortfalls as a result of state funding inconsistencies.
        b.Long-term facility maintenance plan
        c.A long-range capital improvement development plan

    2.Implementation of Technology Initiatives
        a.Instructional technology
        b.Business Technology
        c.Distance Learning Technology

    3.Work with the City on continuing to pursue the Community Center concept

   4.Go Green - SMUSD Green and Sustainable Schools Program
        a.Alternative Energy
        b.Additional “green” solutions
        c.Paperless solutions district-wide

   5.Furthering our excellence in the three A’s:
        a.Multi-lingual opportunities
        b.Multi-disciplinary opportunities

6.Expand presence of SMUSD nationally and internationally
        a.Public Relations
        b.Every college/university knows SMUSD
