Board of Education Appoints New Officers

(San Marino, CA) — The San Marino Unified School District Board of Education appointed new officers during its December 9, 2025, Board Meeting. Francesca Gill was appointed President, Shelley Ryan as Vice President, and Joanna Lam as Clerk.

“I am honored to serve the community as the San Marino Unified School District Board President,” said Francesca Gill. “However, no one board member can effect change alone. It’s through our unity, purpose, and shared moral imperative that we will continue the important work of providing the very best in public education so every child can thrive.”

Francesca Gill has served on the Board of Education since 2022. Shelley Ryan has served since 2013, and Joanna Lam joined the Board in 2022. C. Joseph Chang was also honored at the meeting for his tenure as Board President and has served the district since 2001. Member Joshua Sung was elected to the Board of Education in 2024.
