At Huntington Middle School, the opportunity to learn extends far beyond the inside of the classroom. The new two-story Barth Athletics Complex will include a full sized CIF Regulation gymnasium for the campus, two Media Classrooms, Fitness Room, Boy’s and Girl’s Team Rooms, and a second-floor multi-purpose room. These areas are designed to help facilitate the School’s and Community’s health, fitness, recreational programs and social events.
Week of September 24 - Structural Steel for the roof and remaining portions of the building begins Monday. The work will take about three weeks. Masonry work was completed last week. Locker room steel stud framing is on-going. Framing for the classrooms began last week and continues all week. Electrical work in the locker rooms is over fifty percent complete and will move to the classrooms this week.
Week of October 1 - Structural Steel work continues. Steel stud framing for the fitness room and other storage rooms will be on-going. Rough electrical for the first floor will be on-going. HVAC work over the locker room is set to start.
