About Measure M
We are proud of the achievements of our students and the dedication of our teachers and staff. San Marino is a community that recognizes the necessity of a strong education and the value of investing in our schools to provide our students with the tools they need for success.
Our students have proven themselves to be the best in the State again and again and high-quality, safe, secure, and up-to-date facilities are required to support continued achievement in academics, arts, athletics and activities. All of our schools were built between 1917 and 1953, and while many of them were renovated over 20 years ago, our schools are now in need of repair and basic safety, technology, and educational updates and improvements.
Because the State does not provide adequate funding to maintain and upgrade our facilities, the SMUSD Board of Education has voted to place Measure M on the November 5, 2024 Primary Election ballot. Locally-controlled funds would protect and enhance the quality of SMUSD schools.
