About Us

PT Affiliates is a non-profit organization whose goal is to provide support to the students and schools of the San Marino Unified School District.  Every year the PT Affiliates contributes countless hours of volunteer services and significant financial support to the community’s schools.

These contributions have helped to make the schools of San Marino among the best to be found.  SMUSD’s students consistently score at the top of any standardized test.  The District supports vibrant performing arts programs, active athletics, as well as a broad range of co-curricular programs. After receiving a rich and broad based education, most San Marino students go on to excel at our nation’s most prestigious colleges and universities.

The PT Affiliates summer school program builds upon these successes.    Most of our summer courses are taught by the same fully credentialed instructors that teach within the district during the regular school year.  By our charter, all proceeds after costs are returned to the individual school sites.  This makes the tuition dollar work twice: first to provide a topnotch curriculum taught by an unsurpassed teaching staff and then again to underwrite ongoing enrichment in the fall.
